Navigating Modern Marketing · September 22, 2026 · Brick, New Jersey

How do you strengthen your marketing without adding another pile of unfinished work? Our Navigating Modern Marketing Lunch & Learn addressed that question on September 22, 2026, at Hackensack Meridian Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, New Jersey.

The Brick Township Chamber of Commerce session paired Abdel Khawatmi of PRMG Got Mortgages with Renee Rossi of SocialTrend Marketing Solutions. Abdel’s material focused on AI, evidence and execution. Renee’s material focused on brand, messaging, content and reach. Together, those topics connected the message a business wants to share with a process it can maintain.

Start with the customer’s question

A request to produce more posts is not much of a marketing strategy. A better starting point is the question your customer needs answered. What is confusing them? What information would help them take an informed next step? What can you explain from your own experience?

For real estate and mortgage professionals serving Ocean and Monmouth counties, this approach creates a practical source of content: the questions that already come up in conversations. Turn those questions into clear education, check the facts and give readers a useful next step.

Seven rules for using AI with better judgment

  • Keep the advisor accountable. AI can analyze and organize information; a person owns the recommendation.
  • Begin with a question. Define the customer or business decision before choosing a prompt.
  • Control the evidence. Use approved information, keep its dates and sources, and identify what is missing.
  • Research before interpreting. Separate what happened from your opinion about why it happened.
  • Explain why it matters. A polished answer should also be understandable and useful.
  • Challenge your assumptions. Ask what evidence would change your mind, then test one idea.
  • Save time without skipping judgment. Review the work before it reaches a client or partner.

Connect the brand with a repeatable routine

Renee’s portion of the workshop emphasized the message before the channel. A business needs to understand who it serves and what it helps people do before deciding how frequently to post. Useful content and a realistic publishing rhythm are easier to sustain than a burst of activity followed by silence.

The session also identified three common gaps: people cannot find or understand your message; attention does not become a useful conversation; or the next step has no owner and date. Knowing which gap you are solving helps you choose a focused action.

Build one workflow this week

Choose a customer question, gather reliable information and let AI help prepare a draft. Review the facts, tone and claims. Then take the personal action the content supports, such as answering a partner’s question or preparing for a conversation. Measure a useful outcome and set a review date.

This gives you a way to improve both marketing and follow-through. More output is only valuable when it helps the audience and supports the work your business needs to do.
